perl
PERL ( Practical Extraction and Report Language ) is a server side scripting language used to create dynamic content. Perl borrows features from other programming languages including C, shell scripting (sh), AWK, and sed. The language provides powerful text processing facilities. Perl has been used since the early days of the Web to write CGI scripts. It is known as one of "the three Ps" (along with Python and PHP), the most popular dynamic languages for writing Web applications. A lot of information is available to learn programming perl. Another issue is speed and efficiency. PHP is generally considered to be faster than Perl, although this is debatable.
